Since its founding in 2013, Cultivate Catskill has moved us toward a greener Catskill.

We plant inviting public areas, install vibrant hanging baskets, fill containers with colorful flowers and creatively decorate for the seasons. We encourage residents to clean, paint, and plant to help make Catskill all it can be.
We sponsor a Cultivate Catskill Cat in support of HOCA (Heart of Catskill Association) and their wonderful work.
With our Tree Council we ensure the trees along Main Street are maintained.
We educate our residents about the rich history of the area and encourage everyone to get involved to continue to make Catskill better. We create walking maps of the village and have a audio tour of the Village cemetery, highlighting luminaries from the past.
We organize a monthly Trunk Sale from May through October. These are held the second Saturday of each month in the Greene County Parking Lot from 9AM-1PM. Vendors and shoppers are welcome!
We started, and continue to participate in, Catskill’s annual Winter Solstice Stroll in December, lighting up Main Street with fire pits, art, street performers and more. It has become an annual event thanks to the support of local merchants. And in 2025 , an annual Summer Solstice event was added in June to celebrate the onset of summer and the longest day of the year.
To learn more about the organization and our members, listen to this episode of the podcast, Nature Calls: Conversations from the Hudson Valley, which features Shelly Pulver and Robin Smith. Enjoy!
As long as we have the community generosity and support, we will continue planting pride in our community.
